The Book Thief

one of my all-time faves! the first time i actually enjoyed seeming as though i’m in the shoes of Death himself 🤓 very enjoyable in many aspects and will read it again 🔜!

Beautiful in every way. Devastating but beautiful. Was crying for hours

This was a phenomenal book following the story of a young communist girl in a german (non jewish) foster family as her mom sent off to the ww2 concentration camps. Her devastatingly tragic story is narrated by 'death' itself as she loves and loses the people around her.
