"to friendship, to new beginnings, and to the healing power of love"

a shaking and a crying luv,,,, a shaking and a crying,,,,

This was cute. I expected more, but it was still enjoyable. I wish there had been more romance, though.

“Marry me, Audrey. Marry me today, marry me next week, a year from now, ten years from now. I don’t care, just promise me someday. I need you, Dree. I need you with every fiber of my being. I’ve needed you from that very first day on the playground. I know the way you tell the story is that I saved you from a bully, but the truth is you save me from myself every damn day. Marry me because I love you, not in the way a boy loves a girl, not in the way a friend loves his friend, but the way a man loves a woman. Forever…”

~4,5. of course they were my favourite. of course. i knew they would be when i started the series and they delivered. they deliver all the tropes and this is one of those books i’ll come back to when i just want some comfort. audrey and clarke were everything. 4,5-stars ✨

definitely the best book of the series! audreyclarke were perfect, they did so much for the childhood best friends to lovers community

An easy chick lit read that feels like a Hallmark movie. This might have been my favorite of the trilogy and was a nice way to wrap it up.

Queria te tivesse sido mais longo e que o Clarke tivesse mais tempo pra se explicar no final

4.5 ☆

The will they, won't they thing lasted a little too long, and considering how much I was here for the tropes it felt like a bit of a letdown. Also the point I made last time I read Lauren Layne about how unsatisfying the fade to black scenes are after the book leads up to them remains true. Regardless, Lauren Layne continues to have such likeable and understandable characters that I enjoyed it anyway.

best friends to lovers? a great trope. best friends to lovers with fake engagement and mutual pining? BRILLIANT INCREDIBLE AMAZING SHOW STOPPING SPECTACULAR NEVER THE SAME

Best friends to lovers trope will always be a classic to me. Audrey and Clarke’s story is my favorite out of all the three.

Loved this third installment in the series! I love a good fake-fiance/fake-dating trope. I loved Audrey and Clarke's relationship, and I am a firm believer that solid relationships are even better when based on a foundation of friendship and respect. Was very fun to read their story. This is such a great romance series and I highly recommend! Lauren Layne has become a new go-to author for me. *Special thanks to NetGalley, Lauren Layne and the publisher for the advanced review copy in exchange for my honest review* Follow Me! Meh. Could have been better. I really wanted this to be a fun, quick, loveable read. It fell flat and I never got my full friends to lovers satisfaction!

I started this last night and ended up finishing it in just a few hours. I love this series! Audrey & Clarke have been much anticipated and LL didn’t let me down. Marriage on Madison Avenue was fun and flirty, with a friends-to-lovers trope well done. Throw in a fake engagement and a fabulous wrap-up to this girl-power centered series, how could I not enjoy it?

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Tik Tok | You can find my review here. Marriage on Madison Avenue is a must-read for all romantics. This is absolutely my favourite Lauren Layne novel of all time and the very best of the Central Park Pact series. (It also reminded me that Cecily von Ziegesar was SO ahead of her time with the Gossip Girl books--hello, Scandal Boy!) I've loved the Central Park Pact series, and the friendship at the center of it, in a way that is rare for me nowadays. And while I was super excited to get to Marriage on Madison Avenue, I was also a bit nervous that it would be too similar to Blurred Lines. Naturally, I was very wrong. Marriage on Madison Avenue is the older, more polished sister, to that novel. They share similar archetypes and tropes, but they aren't the same story. This third installment to the now-beloved Central Park Pact series is just as enchanting, dishy, romantic and stylish as its predecessors. Actually, it's even moreso--in the best kind of way. Marriage on Madison Avenue sent me into a fit of emotions and made me miss the city, and new friendships, and love, and all the electricity that comes from life. I had no choice but to devour it in hours with a glass of wine. As always, this book is pure fun. Lauren Layne continues to dazzle with her wonderful dynamics. The friendships are heart-warming. The romance is electric. (Phew! Lifelong chemistry that was never tapped into finally hitting its breaking point. Sign. Me. Up.) The characters are flawed and on a journey of self discovery. The endings are happy. Every page of Marriage on Madison Avenue holds the right amount of life and sparks the interest from the first page. These are the types of characters you want to root for. Audrey and Clarke weren't necessarily destined to be my favourite pairing, and solo characters, from this series, but by the end of Marriage on Madison Avenue... they just are. I honestly haven't stopped grinning since finishing Marriage on Madison Avenue--what a swoon worthy read!

This was cute. I expected more, but it was still enjoyable. I wish there had been more romance, though.
