Rating - 3 stars ★Review★ I am not quite sure why this is classed as "romantic" suspense. Tbh it is less romance and more a "vague sense of attraction with no real fire or true depth of feeling to it" suspense. Although, I actually did quite like the hero, he was a bit staid and unemotional, but I liked him. The heroine was ok, but never felt like I really got to know her as other than an overly paranoid (although with good reason) victim. There are a fair few POV's in this book and at times I was unsure just who's head we were in. And the plot twist at the end, tbh, just came out of left field and felt very forced. I have at the beginning felt it might be going that way, but then, when we were in the villain's head as the book went on, changed my mind again, as it just did not fit, but no turns out my feeling to start had been right, but even so, it did not feel right, and I went back through all the villain POV pages, and it still felt forced. As if the author wanted the big twist that came out of left field, and did it regardless of the fact that it actually fit or made sense or not. All in an okish 3 stars, but was more on the suspense side as opposed to the romantic suspense for me, but it felt like it was a HFN, and not a HEA to me, and far too many POV's, made worse by us thinking we had one persons POV, only to get to the end and have to completely re jig our thinking on that. That to me is not a well done plot twist, but rather like a triangle shaped plot twist made to fit into the circle shaped space.
