A truly spellbinding prequel novella for The Remnant Chronicles. It was wonderful to get this backstory and learn all about Morrighan and Jafir's love and journey.
The writing was so whimsical and completely immersive. It has been a long time since I've completed a book in a day, but this one completely took hold of me and refused to let go until I turned the final page!
The only fault I have with it is, now I want to reread all the books from The Remnant Universe!

“ … I am yours, Morrighan, forever yours … and when the last star of the universe blinks silent, I will still be yours. “
Morrighan is not a typical fantastical fantasy. It’s full of thieves and savages and a world where everyone is at each others throats. It’s a book about survival and having to do sometimes (most of the time) the worst of things, just to survive and see the next day. But also, it’s about a love the defeats all of the odds and sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
I haven’t read the Remnant Chronicles yet.. it’s been on my tbr for a bit.. but now I’m extremely curious and definitely bumping it up my tbr. I will say, this book actually made me very sad. Morrighan struggles from the very start until almost the very end and a lot happens on her journey but I’m glad where it ended and I’m a little less sad now haha.
If you read and loved the Remnant Chronicles or just want to give Pearson’s writing a little try, this is the perfect place to start!

… I am yours, Morrighan, forever yours … and when the last star of the universe blinks silent, I will still be yours.

I couldn’t even break my gaze from his. I was fully and utterly prey, a silent rabbit effectively hunted and cornered.
