Better than I was expecting. It was a little long-winded at some points, however the romance and resolution to the murder mystery felt slightly rushed (too much description, not enough development).

I wish I could do less than 0.5 stars. The book felt so flat to me. Author focused more of the technicalities of remodeling this house versus putting thought and energy into the romance/murder subplots. It felt like paint drying :( I was so excited to like this book.

Wanted to dnf it so bad but I didn't, in hope it would get better but it was just disappointing, full of red flags , flat characters and horrible romance with so many unnecessary boring details . I'm not happy rn.

I loved this!! It’s my first MKA book and i loved the concept - historical home renovations in Savannah, Ga plus a historical mystery along the way. Aaahh it’s just so good!! Perfect for summer, perfect for anyone who loves a mystery, perfect for someone who loves home renovations, perfect for someone who loves enemies to lovers, perfect for someone who loves southern fiction!! I was captivated immediately and felt like i was in Savannah watching everything happen in real life.
