Mixed opinions about this one. I enjoyed some parts of this book and didn't like others.
It started very nicely and I was really interested, but then the story started dragging a bit. 
Marnie goes from divorce to new boyfriend to new fiancé to going to bed with her ex-husband to finding the love of her life in a span of four months. Wasn't really credible or relatable to me, especially because the relationship didn't build as strongly as you might expect.
The characters were interesting, especially Blix (why isn't there a book about Blix?), but I feel we don't get to see the most juicy stuff about them, i.e. Patrick's character arc. Marnie was probably the least relatable and she can be annoying, despite that the book does have its nice sides.

Warning: Aside from the whimsical title and book cover, this isn’t chick lit. A grim, muddling longwinding story with a confused protagonist, seemingly without a redeeming arc, and oh boy, how she needed one. Some minor characters are good as is the writing. I probably wanted the story to be about something else. Not the book for me.

Such a unique book

In the beginning I was a little skeptical of wether I would like this book or not. I continued to read it because I forgot to pay my internet bill and couldn't annoy people on Facebook. Moral of the story everyone is a little like Blix and Marnie. This book was a delight. It had parts to cringe at and share their pain and parts where you laughed out loud because a silent laugh was not sufficient. You can't help but pity Marnie and her near determination to give up and settle for the rest of her life and the relief you feel to know even after Blix has passed, she won't let her have anything but N amazing life. I think I got this book think it would just be a quick read. That book that's cute with no emotional attachment, but I was so wrong. This book spoke to me and I hope I will continue my life like Blix did. Live it so whatever happens, I love that.

4.5 stars. I really really enjoyed this book! I felt like I related to Marnie so much in having family who wants you to live a "normal", "suburban" life, but having so much more in line for your life. I felt like Blix, Jessica, and the other characters were so lovable and supportive toward Marnie. Also, I absolutely LOVED Patrick *head over heals* he was written as such a kind and caring friend toward Marnie ;)

Super cute and easy read with mostly likable characters. It's one of those books where the main character, Marnie, just seems to get dumber and more annoying over time. I did like the other characters but there was far too much time spent on Marnie's failed relationship with Noah, and Noah's shenanigans. I would have preferred more interaction between Marnie and Patrick.

I listened to the audiobook version & it didn’t bore me, but it also didn’t wow me? So I’m a bit torn on much of an opinion. It was a little sad & a little sweet.
