I read a review that said that this book taught us lessons in the same way that Mitch Albom does. Soft, light, but in a "deceptively simple way". It was beautiful in the way that it transported me to different places and emotions. But maybe I'm just in a different place in my life that I did not get much from it. I found that it was predictable halfway through and maybe even corny. But I know this is some people's favorite book and I can see why so I would still give it its flowers

It was great at the beginning of nora's life but i just didnt feel connected with her since the book lacked the essence of being woman. The book expressed what was her regret but left out the idea of just 'being'. Her passed helped her shape her life but it shouldn't define her at all. I get that she was hopeless but this book lacked the exact feelings it's trying to convey.

This book is so beautiful. As someone that has a constant fear of my future and the actions and decisions that I know can affect the life i am going to build for myself. Nora Seed is a smart woman, she studied philosophy duh but she has a wide perspective when it's not clouded. Her perception of the situations that she encountered as she slides through the multiple lives. She analyzes what she feels, what that Nora feels, and sees to it as she experiences the different lives, that that Nora is no different than her root life.

Seeing the possibilities that one person can become is most definitely 

 But one thing that will differentiate how one person will pursue their certain dream is their drive and their potential. Anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it.  You shouldn't put yourself down over the opportunities you didn't take but focus on the decisions that you can make, the steps you will initiate in order for you to achieve the life that is worth living.

Regrets are a major part of our life and its also the main driving force of the plot of the book in the first place. She goes in different lives to undo that specific regret that she has. But the truth is, no matter how picture perfect an Olympic, a popstar's life is, there are still some ugly truths to it, another problem that will arise.

Another thing that I took into account after reading this book is to be thankful of this life. To live my life to the fullest. It's okay to have regrets but there is no use dwelling on them. You will always have an opportunity to pursue what you want and always take that opportunity. And if ever that opportunity passes, it's alright maybe it's not meant to be yours this life but always see to it that you'll always do your best to pursue a tomorrow that your future self will thank you for.

reading this book felt less like a proper story and more like scrolling through endless philosophical self-help memes you'd see on facebook and twitter, like someone was just force-feeding me online wisdom. honestly, finishing this was an absolute test of endurance. giving it a 0.5 bc it cured my insomnia lol.

After reading a lot of great reviews, I really wanted to like it, but it was bland, too simple and slow. Maybe it was hyped too much. Love the concept of the different timelines, but it is boringly predictable with not a lot of surprises. The title is alluring, however the main character doesn’t live up to it, nothing stands out, and throughout the book goes to “philosophical mode” with some famous quotes you could probably find on a random tumblr/insta. Give it a chance if this is your type of a read, but don’t expect too much.

It’s a book I’m glad to have encountered exactly when I did.

The idea behind The Midnight Library is compelling: exploring different versions of life and the choices that shape us. I went in expecting something uplifting, but I found the tone too bleak for my taste and the structure repetitive. Rather than feeling curious or comforted, I often felt like I was bracing for disappointment in each chapter. I finished it, but it wasn’t an enjoyable experience for me. I can understand how it could be meaningful for others, especially at the right moment, but it wasn’t the right fit for where I’m at.

I hate how much I loved this book arguably phenomenal good journaling and thinking accompanied it, it was hard to get into at first but then I was locked

I can not imagine the pain someone would have to go through, to find themselves at the point in life, where not living seems like the only choice left.

But I think social media pressures (especially young) people to false ideals thus making fomo and regret become perpetual thoughts for many. What do you regret most in life? What would your life look like if you've chosen a different path?

I appreciate Noras decision that life is worth living and her accepting that the choices you make define who you are. I've read this book by accident and while it's certainly a novel-suiting happy ending it contains a universal lesson that I've come to realize I needed myself.

I can not imagine the pain someone would have to go through, to find themselves at the point in life, where not living seems like the only choice left.

Must read for anyone reflecting on their life’s choices and confused about the path ahead. The book is full hope and highly Imaginative and empathetic.

This was really good. Maybe it will especially hit for people who have had similar thoughts and experiences, but man this was cathartic. I actually found it difficult to read in public because I would get teary!! I was not ready. I remember thinking one of his other books sounded a little schmaltzy - like a little toxic positivity, maybe? - but after reading this I think I’m more inclined to try reading other stuff by him!
