Nice semi-biography of Buster Keaton... The book is an imagined look at what Buster's life might have been like when visiting Muskegon, Michigan and The Actors Colony at Bluffton. The book is pretty scant on factual information, though does weave in a few details of Buster's biography, such as how he got his nickname, his family's trouble with social services because of them violating child labor laws, and his father's alcoholism. The book's art is what makes it really amazing; it's hazy and soft, as though both seen through the sheen of a hot summer day and the fog of years of memory. Difficult subjects are dealt with, but not dwelt on too heavily. The book is largely silent with plot and characters developing through illustration and close up reactions of character's faces.
