“I got her.” He places me on his lap, pulling the seatbelt over me awkwardly and buckling it.

I giggle. “I think I’ll be good, Noah. No one else has their seatbelt on.”    

“Leave it on for me, yeah?” He speaks low, but we’re closed in a truck with no music, so I’m positive nobody misses his concern.

"Fuck." His eyes squeeze closed, his forehead falling to mine. "You're killing me."

I peek up at him, but I didn't have to, to know his would be on me. They are.

Watching her dance around in the seat beside me, smiling wide as she picks pieces of the bun off her burger, eating it like a bird as always, it's as if everything clicks. Right here and now.

"If you still love him at all," he rasps. "If there's even the smallest of chances of for you and him, I need you to let me go."

The air whooshes from my lungs in a quick hiss, my heart beating out of control. "Noah."

"I need you to have mercy on me, Juliet... and let me go."

“You wrote it on the calendar. I drew the hearts.”

“Y-you drew the hearts?” I stutter. “In three colors? On the calendar in—”

“In your bedroom.” He stares, hesitating, but only for a moment. “And in your school planner. And on the one in mine.”

Holy sh*t I haven’t read a book that has done this to me in a long time. The anxiety this book gave me is a rush that I love so much but hate so much. I was super excited to finally start it and I wasn’t disappointed. The story was so good and was told so we’ll that it was such a quick read. I think I felt every emotion reading this book and that also tells me how much I enjoyed it. The found family in the book was amazing as well. I think they added a lot to the story giving it that little bit more depth to it. Ari, I love her, I feel for the girl and the rollercoaster she went on in this book. She went through so much as as much as I wanted to just shake her through this she was executed perfectly for the book. Now Noah, talking about perfect, I just added another MMC to the book husband category. I honestly love this man and I think he deserves the world and more. This couple is one that is up there for me, this book is up there for me and I’m so happy to have read it and look forward to read more work by Meagan Brandy!!

Omg the people really didn't lie when they said this book broke them😭

I knew something sad would happen so I was anxious throughout the whole read but I never thought there would be more than one sad thing😭 I was NOT prepared for that.

I'm not in the mood for crying again so I won't even talk about the second half of the book.

The beach house thing, especially in the beginning, gave me the summer I turned pretty vibes. I liked it but it also made me wonder (still do by the way) how rich these parents were lol Casually buying beach houses left and right.

The book started so slow it made me question if I even really knew who the love interest was. It felt like the author forgot for a hot minute that the book isn't about Ari and Chase. I just wanted her to stop being obssessed with him. It took her so long! My jaw dropped when they had sex. I don't know what exactly I expected but definitely not this. I kept waiting for Noah to finally swoop in but he never did. Thank God, Chase broke her heart.

I like that he wasn't the most disgusting asshole in the end tho and they made up because I loved their friend group and it would've been so sad if they fell apart because of this.

It was so cute that they all went to the same college but it also meant it was a bit weird of her to say they will grow apart.. unlike literally any other friend group ever they're all on the very same campus lol it's not so hard to keep in touch try living hours away from each other.

Chase was such an asshole though. A little bit when he always hid his feelings but DEFINITELY when he asked her out knowing she didn't love him anymore. The audacity. And all that after he tried to make peace with Noah in the hospital. THE NERVE. Ari should've whooped his ass before forgiving him. At least Noah finally gave him what he deserved.

All in all, I loved the book! I had to get used to the way they talked at first because it gave me frat boy vibes a bit but that didn't made me like it less even if it's not the style I would usually prefer when reading.

Now...Noah. I finally get why booktok loves him so much. He was fucking perfect. In the end, I wanted to shake him and scream at him to do something and not just watch it happen. He got me so frustrated but I loved him even more for it. He always put his Juliet first.♡

Wow! This was an unexpected emotional rolarcoaster and I absolutely loved it. I want a Noah for myself! This book is so amazing that I don’t have words for it. It is giving me the biggest bookhangover ever. I just can’t stop thinking about it and i recommand everybody with the slightest bit of intrest in this book to read it!

no but seriously this book was such a surprise! it was so entertaining and fun but also so heartwrenching it made me sob for a good few hours after. it was a rollecoaster of emotions truly. i dont have one bad thing to say about this book. the chemistry between the main characters is electric, the banter is a solid eleven out of ten and every relationship and character is so well written plus the side characters are actually involved in the story!! (one of my personal biggest pet peeves) i absolutely adore this book, definitely worth the read!

Just kidding. Allow me to elaborate on why Noah Riley and this book completely blew me away. Also, need to mention: this book hurts.

First off, I will say that initially, I thought this was another book where booktok steered me wrong because the dialogue was slightly cringey, but then I realized it was kinda fitting for the characters and their age, so I accepted it.

Once I got over that, that was it. I completely fell in love with this book and devoured it.

There were a lot of tears for me early on, mostly because Ari's feelings in the beginning hit so close to home. I know all too well what it feels like to not be enough for someone to truly try for you. How completely gutting it is to simply not be worth the trouble.

But then to have someone else that is patient, kind, understanding and waits for you to wade through your shit all the while showing you that you are enough? More than enough?? It was so reminiscent to the beginning of my relationship with my husband and ugh, the feels. So many tears lmao.

The tears in the beginning weren't exactly sad, but just kind of.. mournful over my past and the shit I put up with? These were nothing compared to the pain and the gut wrenching sobs that came later in the book lol. 

I thought people were exaggerating when they said Noah Riley was hands down one of the best book boyfriends they've ever read about, but nope. No exaggeration there. The man is book husband material.

Just such an incredibly thoughtful, compassionate, loyal, patient, understanding, humble, and selfless man. I loved how he made Ari feel safe and cherished, and how she never had to question if he wanted to be with her. That's what a good man does, he never makes you wonder about his feelings. Again, very much like my husband. The similarities seriously pulled on my heartstrings lmao.

There was an important quote in the first few chapters from Ari's brother in regard to a different character where he says, "If I wanted her, Arianna… she’d know it already." and I feel like this was such an meaningful theme all throughout. Ari's in love with someone else the beginning and she dissects every little thing he does and convinces herself that maybe he loves her too, but again.. if he did, she'd know. Noah never made her question it. He made sure she knew and I loved him for that.

But holy shit. I was not prepared for the pain that came later in the book. I won't say much as to avoid spoilers, but it hurt. A lot. I almost wanted to give this book 4.5 stars because I thought it wasn't fair, but the ending really made up for it - the epilogue specifically. Boy, did I cry.

Anyway, Noah Riley should be protected at all costs and if it were possible to marry a fictional man, I'd marry him in a heartbeat, but I guess I'm lucky to have found my own Noah irl. :')

3.5 This book was really good but needed to be like 200 pages shorter. There was no reason for this to be so long at all but still had a good plot and I really loved the characters. What I did not like was the constant “baby, sister” that kinda language it was sooo cringy to me. A lot of this book was really cringy and cheesy but somehow still worked.
