(view spoiler)[Wow manipulating your granddaughter into coming to some stupid ball with you. Acting all like 'my granddaughter doesn't love me wahhh' wow fuck Clarisse Renaldi. Then again, sure Michael wasn't just going to break up with Mia for not going on one date with her but ffs Clarisse. Honestly nothing much happened in this book other than Mia pining over Michael while she was in Genovia, and when she was finally back in New York it was all about her being afraid he was totally going to break up with her because of some stupid things. I get that she's fourteen (and eight months) but come on she sounds so damn childish sometimes. Also, she talks more about her non-existing boobs in this book, yay. I thought we were over this, Mia. (hide spoiler)] Basically, everyone in this book was awful, except for Michael. And Fat Louie.

this book is about mia's winter break and her actual first visit to genovia...:D she talks about parking meters and other stuff....and also sum1 made a movie abt mia being a princess jja....well after that shes forced to go to a ball bt she want go wit michael on their first date to see a moviee...so she doesnt kno wat to doo lol ..kool book i liked it

*4.5* I FINALLY FINISHED AND I LOVED IT ON TO THE NEXT.

** spoiler alert ** Maybe my least favourite so far. Mia is 14 so she is still immature, but here she was a bit too much. The whole book is spent worrying over whether Michael is in love with her (I still don't get how he can love her considering the differences in age and maturity) or if he considers her just a friend. I don't see how she can think that, since he kissed her and acts as a boyfriend. Plus Mia never learns not to trust the grandma. She is devilish, just get it! If she says not to call Michael, you go and do exactly the opposite! Not that hard Oh well in the end it was still entertaining and there are always parts that make me laugh and react while I am listening to this on my way to school (by now, people will know me as the funny girl making weird faces at nothing) The sad thing is that this one was not narrated by Anne Hathway, which took away a bit of the enjoyment

once again i am reading ahead of buddy read schedules 🤍

2.75/5 Oh My God... Mia is the most annoying person I've ever read about. Don't get me wrong, I understand that shes's just a teenager and has her issues, but really? Really? All this whinning about Michael not loving her (which he totally does) and not being gifted and talanted (which she also is). It nearly killed me. I struggled to get through the book. Tell me Mia is gonna grow up in following books? Anyone? Please?

4.5 Book two finished for #rainbowthon June 2015. As seen on Caity Reads. I love this series so much, and I cannot wait to continue on. As usual, Mia is young and naive. As mentioned in my previous reviews, she is a fourteen year old girl and this is to be expected. Yes, she is a bit whiney; but isn’t that kind of the point? She’s young, and in high school. Not only that, but if you consider the format in which the books are written; it makes quite a bit of sense. These books are told through her journal, it makes sense for her to whine about things in a book that only she reads. I remember doing my fair share of whining in my journals in junior high and high school (the rare occasions in which I actually wrote in one). Also, who doesn’t love Michael Moscovitz? Overall, I would definitely recommend continuing with the series. I think I’m going to wait to read on until I can get physical copies of these books; because I love the series so much and I need to own it.
