silly, sweet, just a nice romcom to read with a different plot and formatting :)

Kind of a goofy story but a fun, light read. I didn't love the email format of the story, felt a little forced and cheesy, especially reading it in 2017 when a lot of the lingo and pop culture references are totally out of date. Still a fun book to read if you're looking for something different.

No matter how many times I read this book I always end up enjoying it. Mel and John are ridiculous in their romance and the story itself is ridiculous but it always makes me smile. I only ever read this book because it was written by Meg Cabot. In fact, I think I got this book when I was about 15 and it's pretty tame when it comes to romance but probably not my most age appropriate read. You can very much hear Cabot's writing style coming through in this. It is written and sounds similar to Princess Diaries just with more grown-up characters. I don't feel like that's a bad thing either, it wasn't when I was younger anyway. I have to admit, it made me laugh seeing old celebrity gossip in there which was cute. I also loved that there were no mobile phones going on it was all email! That dated the book but it was fun because it took me back to first reading it. It did get me thinking about current references aging a contemporary read, which was interesting. But that's a whole other thing.

Cute book.

Loved it! Cute, quirky and fun quick read all told through emails. There's a little bit of romance, a little bit of mystery and a whole lot of laughs :)

Wasn't a fan of the email format at all.
