No place to hide by Megan Lowe is the second in the Rocking Racers series and is a four star read. It can be read as a stand alone novel but the books are build around the Ryan family so I would suggest reading them in order. This story isn't actually focuses on a Ryan family member but Cole, a best friend of Reed and member of the Ryan team. 

The story starts of with two young children, Cole and McKnley ( no i ) , being best friends but they are torn apart when their parents have an affair and Coles father skips town with him. They meet again years later and McKnley blames Cole for her parents separating and for ruining her childhood. McKnley is now a huge pop star in a group with her sisters managed by her extremely overbearing mother. Cole is racing for the Ryan's, trying to make a name for himself and prove he is good enough. 

The relationship between the two is not easy, Mcknleys mother really does her best to ruin the relationship at every opportunity even so fast as putting Mcknleys safety at risk. Her sisters are pretty poisonous as well with the exception of her youngest sister. 

If you enjoyed the first book you will love this one, it does have the same feel to it and the Ryan family are an important back of the background story. It is nice to see what is happening to them and we get glimpses of what will likely be future stories. 

It gives a good idea of what life in the public eye is probably like, it is not all champagne and roses. 

The are highs and lows and lots of emotion, I am really enjoying reading this series and will be looking out for the next book.
