This book is a timely reminder about why Australia needs to respond to the growing social problem of domestic violence and recognise that young victims of revenge killings are innocent victims of a far bigger issue. The women in this book, whose children have been killed by their former partners, know firsthand the lifelong sentence of suffering and many have been quietly campaigning for social change for decades. This book has come about because after working closely with Cindy Gambino during the writing of On Father's Day, journalist and author Megan Norris felt that a closer look at Cindy's story in context with other stories of retaliatory filicide was necessary.
