sorry the book was ok but I really REALLY!!! love Hudson & Hardy more than anything else

anyway the beginning was good but I thought the book was much longer than it needed to be, istg I read and read and read and when I saw it I hadn't moved 10%, feels like an eternity

I didn’t like Brody that much too, he’s sweet but kinda idiot (sorry Brody 🫂), sue me but when Maggie sleeps in Hardy’s bungalow I *almost* hoped for a kiss (sorry Brody again 🫂) (I think I just loved Hardy so much more than the necessary)

I just don't like these two characters and the situation isn't funny.  Since I'm just not enjoying the story, I'm just going to stop. One interesting thing about this novel is that even though it isn't a special edition, there are illustrations throughout the book.

Well, after DNFing this book, I actually went back and finished it.  So many of the reviews I read were glowing, and I just thought, "What am I missing?" I'm afraid, not too much, but I still found some things to like about it.  The island wedding setting is wonderfully described - felt like being there, and there is some humor that I didn't find early on in the book.  Many of the games and activities that the wedding party plays prior to the wedding are hilarious - an ass crack sneeze just about put me in tears, but I still find the two protagonists unlikable.  They do crash the wedding for their own purposes, and I find Brody to be way too wishy-washy.  Overall Bridesmaid for Hire is worth the read, but just barely.
