I think I’m in agreement with what a lot of people have said about this series that the second book doesn’t amount to what the first book did. I had issues with the FMC throughout the first half of the book because she seemed like a whole different person than she was in the second half. I do feel like the book ran a bit longer than it needed to. Especially when it gave major miscommunication vibes throughout the whole book. I wanted more for it. JP was my favorite part of this book and his character growth I just didn’t feel that same thing for Kelsey.

I genuinely barely passed the first 30% of this book😭 Kelsey annoyed the shit out of me at the beginning but then other 60% of the book made up for it only for it to be ruined again at the end with the article 😔 I loved JP tho

Oh the way that the brothers keep getting better and better as the series keeps getting better and better has GOT to be my favorite part of the series. In the beginning I found Kelseys anger a little out of hand and unnecessary but it was just such a good build up, I love every single thing there is to love aboutJP. I don’t think I have ever laughed at a book so much as I did when I read about him and the pigeons, as a bird hater this was ADORABLE AND SO FUCKING FUNNY. I want a guy exactly like JP, and I so desperately need the hardcover for this book because GODDAMN THOSE DRAWINGS LOOK SO FUCKING GOOD FOR WHAT. I loved the banter that they hd it was top notch, the way the bad timings got on my nerves was acc so fun.THE SPICE N THIS IS SO GOOD.  The third act breakup was expected but it was actually done so well because it ended on SUCH A GOOD NOTE. I loved the way it hinted onto Breaker as well and showed Lottie and Huxley’s relationship was actually given so much importance. I think I loved Wesley so much more than Lottie she had a different aura and depth to her and I found her so oddly relatable to me and I literally LOVED THIS. Genuinely such a romcom

a few stars knocked down bc kelsey is SO fucking annoying as an mc. I initially loved kelsey & jp’s banter but kelsey’s insecurities and how much she knocks down jp as just being a playboy really bugged me the whole book. every time jp would woo her, she always chalked it off to be like “oh he’s just be friendly” when he was courting her. and the angst with kelsey was so stupid. I understand her insecurities but she made it such a jp problem which just made me mad because he was doing something to help and protect them and she seemed to have no kind of appreciation for that at all. she really just pissed me off by the end.

The banter between JP and Kelsey is delicious and the buildup to them getting together was simply *chefs kiss*

I found it clever of the author to use the podcast aspect of the book to promote and introduce her other books/book couples. 

(view spoiler)[ I wanted to DNF this at so many points. Honestly, it was rough getting into it like there were some cringe moments that gave me second-hand embarrassment and the banter was alright... idk there were times where I thought the couple was just arguing for the sake of arguing (for the sake of being classified as "enemies" to lovers). I started enjoying it like 65-70% in but then something happens towards the end which I thought was unnecessary.

Kelsey's character... in the beginning, I was relating to her with the whole hopeless romantic thing and the whole "I love LOVE and want to be loved" but as I kept reading, I found Kelsey's personality to be so abrasive. I feel like Kelsey wanted love/a relationship too much, to a point where she was bitter and jealous towards everything, especially her sister's relationship. She had such a bitter attitude that it was so off-putting. idk at some points, I thought "she is such a bad representative of hopeless romantics and I do not want to be associated with her" I also thought she was TOO judgmental towards JP like poor guy. 

At some points, I just kept reading for JP like I teared up when he got her a magnet and remembered the instrumental version of Wildest Dreams bc they danced to that song but then towards the end....JP got sooo cringe like this is the first time I ever got the ick from the love interest. Plus, I feel like we didn't get much background and characterization on JP for me to fully grasp his character development. Wait did Kelsey even have character development??

I understand the pigeon thing is representative of JP but did we really have to do a whole epilogue about it? yea, there was also a bonus epilogue but I was over it and did not care enough to read it  (hide spoiler)]

when i say this was the most consuming rom-com i've read this year, i can't say i'm exaggerating. i loved everything about this book so so so much and it was completely unexpected. i didn't click with kelsey/jp in the first book, and the first line of this book had me second-guessing whether or not i should've given this book my time and energy, but i'm so glad i did. i spent an entire night squealing, biting my nails, dropping this book because i was so anxious, etc. i haven't physically reacted this way to ANY book in such a long time. their inner monologues when they were realizing they wanted more than friendship from each other?? meghan quinn's writing style is one i'm obsessed with right now i have to invest in every single one of her other books financially. DROP THE GROCERY LIST! also cannot wait for breaker to get his own book!!!

JP and Kelsey made me want to throttle them and shove them together forever at the same time. I relate to Kelsey so much as a character and it was killing me to see her side because I’ve felt those feelings! JP was such a closet softie and I related to him so much too. Loved every minute of this book. Can’t wait to see what Meghan has in store for the last Cane brother!!

Where do I start? I cried, I laughed my ass off, I cringed a little, I got angry and I swoon 

First, we have PJ, he's a billionaire with commitment issues but oh god how obsessed is he with Kelsey, he's so sweet and relatable 
Then we have Kelsey, she's so judgy and frustrating but let's face it, she has insecurities, she's relatable and you can really understand why she's the way she is 

The writing is amazing and the story is everything I want for me

Was so excited about this book, because I absolutely loved the first one, but I gotta say this one lacks a bit. 

The miscommunication in this book is INSANE. We have two adults that, instead of being honest, decide to, 1- assume the other is a terrible person and 2- is afraid to confess cause of committed issues. 
Nothing wrong with that, for a few chapters, not the entire book. 

Whenever the plot was going smoothly, not so focused on the reason why they weren't together and more on the "let's enjoy life and live the best way we can", even with certain drama, I liked it a lot. Which is why I give this score. 

But was I the only one that was a little awkward with the constant pda of Lottie and Hux? I mean, I adore them but it was a little too much. 

Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable read almost throughout the whole book and I'd definitely recommend.
