As with Wicked Lovely, the date that I finished reading this book that you see is not the date I first finished the book, just the Date when I finished re-reading it last.
This book is very different from Wicked Lovely. though in the same world with the same characters, the focus has shifted. In Wicked Lovely, the main character was Aislinn and we got to know the Summer and Winter Courts very well, and the main two supporting characters were Keenan and Seth.
In Ink Exchange, the focus is on the Dark Court, and The main characters are Leslie, Irial, and Niall. Leslie and Niall were minor characters in Wicked Lovely and we saw Irial for a breif five seconds, but in this book, we get to know them much better. we learn more about all three of there past, and, may i say, Leslie has had a hard of time of it. her mom left, her Dad is pretty much as good as nothing, and I don't even want to mention her brother. in an attempt to reclaim her life as her own, she decides to get a tattoo, but the tattoo she gets ties her to Irial and the Dark Court and basically takes away her ability to feel emotions. and she doesn't even learn about Faeries until she's already two steps into their world. Keenan is made out as a Super Bad Guy, we see how Aislinn is almost impotent as a faery queen, because she knows next to nothing about their politics or how they operate. at the end, Leslie's tattoo is 'nullified' for lack of a better word, by Niall and she says, "thank you for helping me with that, but you're a faery, and I don't like faeries, so... bye." she says this to Niall, Aislinn and Irial. Eventually, Irial, Niall and Leslie have justification in the end.

I got the first book many years ago and didn't know there was a series, so finding it out now and reading it; it got me back into this genre.

The first book was from Aislinn's POV and now, it's Leslie's turn. From good to bad, it intrigued me immensely as I know someone very close who went through what she did.

It was good for the most part but I have to say the ending went down hill. I expected more and that's why it has 3 stars.

I will be getting the third book soon though. ~

Meh. Not bad. But not as entertaining as the first one. We’ll see on the third. 

It should really be like a C- or a 2.5 stars. But I’m trying to reserve 5 stars for outstanding, 4 for thoroughly enjoyed, wonderful books, and 3 stars for really good to good. It is just under that mark.

After reading some more reviews and synopsises, I'm deciding not to finsish this one. Ok so let me rant for a bit here. I REALLY don't like where this book is going, the themes being an example. I didn't really like the first book, but still decided too try the second book hoping it would be better. The themes in this book didn't sit well with me at ALL. The writing is not good and kinda cliché. Also another hint from what I've read so far at a love triangle, REALLY? I just... DON'T like where this is going at all.
