Love Letters for Joy

Love Letters for Joy

Melissa See2023
A new LGBTQIA+ romance story by the author of You, Me, and Our Heartstrings. Caldwell Cupid has taken over at Caldwell Preparatory. The students are buzzing about this anonymous Romeo who is writing love letters for students to present to their crushes. The email account, and the letters are going viral. Joy identifies as asexual so most people have always assumed that she is not interested in relationships at all. It was easier for Joy to play into that, than to take the time to figure out how she really felt about love, relationships, and romance. People like her don’t normally get their happy endings, anyway, and she has been too focused on beating golden boy Nathaniel Wright for valedictorian. She wants to be Caldwell Preps first valedictorian with a disability. But things change when her best friend uses Caldwell Cupid to win over her crush and starts a new relationship. Confused by her feelings, Joy reaches out to Caldwell Cupid with the following question: what is the formula for love. In response Cupid presents her with a list of their favorite romance tropes. The two begin a correspondence and over time, Joy realizes she has fallen in love with whoever this person is.At graduation Nathaniel Wright exposes himself as Caldwell Cupid. Will the enemies to lover’s trope work for Joy and Nathaniel?
