The second book in the Vows and Honor duology/trilogy, Oathbreakers was much more cohesive in my opinion. In this book Tarma and Keth are part of a mercenary troop and when their leader goes missing, they become involved in a plot to overthrow a king. Pros: • As I mentioned before this was one cohesive story instead of a bunch of side quests put together like Oathbound. • New characters- I think the introduction of the mercenary groups as well as the Herald and royal family really enhanced the story and the personalities of Tarma and Keth Cons: • Lengthy- This book seemed longer for no real reason. A lot could’ve been cut out without losing anything. I’m giving this book 3/5 stars because I love Tarma and Keth, but the reader just feels very removed from them and this didn’t improve in this book.
