when i watched the movie for the first time i fell in love with noah (and i guess nick) so i know that i had to read this series as soon as possible and after watching all three of them i decided now was a good time to. 

this book had me giggling, kicking my feet, tearing up, getting sick with rage. it made me feel everything individually and together. 

noah is one of my all time favourite fmcs. she’s sassy, brave, kind and she never lets anyone step all over her. she deserves the absolute fucking world and seeing how much she went through in the what (month?) this book was spaced out across was inspiring. 

nice while i hated him in the first half as he was a raging asshole. he grew on me. the way he thought about noah. the way you could genuinely tell her cared and loved her. especially at the third act plot. it was so sweet. i love a reformed playboy and this was perfect to me. 

i can admit the writing was very wattpad-esque. as can be expected as this was a wattpad book. but i can turn a blind eye to that for the most part. 

the love noah and nick have is beautiful, while i normally hate the step-sibling trope. i didn’t even care. these two love eachother so badly that i think they would have always found their way to eachother. 

also the way he was so over the top with consent and making sure noah was okay with everything they did? a fucking MAN. i’m sick of coercion and abuse being normalised recently in books. 

on that note. what book does ronnie die? and fuck noah’s dad. bunch of assholes. and fuck those rich preppy girls and boys who ever hurt noah!! 

long live noah morgan and nick leister!!

For once I’m saying that the film was better this book is ok I guess a lot like Wattpad style writing like less description and it’s very long like unnecessarily.

This felt like the literal fever dream that was the After series reincarnated. I loved the movie, but even the mental image of Gabriel Guevara could not save this one.

I previously read the After series when I was a teenager and bedridden with a fever, and that was the only way that I had been able to finish it. This time around, nothing could help me. I had to skim through once I got to the halfway mark. 

The amount of Nick, a twenty-two-year-old, describing Noah, a seventeen-year-old minor, as sexy and innocent at the same time was too much for me, as well as her constantly "shouting". It was the After characters all over again, and I had to skim in order to maintain my sanity.

It wasn't the worst I've read, but it was trifling.

Originally written in Spanish, the English translation leaves something to be desired. This is one of the only books I’ve ever read read that I can say I enjoyed the movie adaptation an equal amount even though they were fairly different. Still, the book was decently written and I enjoyed the overall plot.

I really want to begin this review by saying that on the back of the book it says it’s a Young Adult Novel. This is by no means a young adult novel the complete opposite with the topics of discussion and word choice throughout the book. 

Now I found the movie before the book through TikTok and knew if I wanted to watch it I needed to read it first. Im glad I read it first because there was so much more background for Nick and Noah that wasn’t all given so you can understand the development of the relationship better. 

Now I will say the writing was a bit choppy and was very similar to a Wattpad book but I believe that was how it began. I also know that it could be choppy because it was translated from Spanish and isn’t completely written in the same context as it was in Spanish. 

But I was entertained, I wanted to know what happened and am intrigued by what will happen next.

I saw that opinions are divided about this book, but I liked it. I discovered the series after seeing the movie first and immediately placed the order.

I devoured this book. It's good that I bought the whole series and that it's complete, so I don't have to wait 100 years after the next one :))

I liked the story, and I'm glad Noah and Nick found a way to be together. After all, they are NOT blood brothers, so be done with "well, they are half brothers, they shouldn't be together". Both of them had a tormented childhood and each of them closed their heart from the world and created their own walls to protect themselves. I liked the way they discovered each other and the way they slowly allowed themselves to feel more and trust each other.

I really liked the relationship between Nick and Maddie. I hope to see the little girl again in the next books and that Nick succeeds in getting custody of her. Here you can see the real face of Nick and I'm glad that I saw this side as well.

Vanilla, if u liked the movie then you'll love the book it's way better.

I was so curious to read Nick's pov when i heard it's a book. That's why I read it. But nothing compares to the movie. So yeah that's why I'm giving three stars to the book. You guys i'mma watch that movie again soon.
