Hardwired by Meredith Wild was a fantastic romance novel that had me addicted to each and every word. 

When reading the back synopsis of this novel, it may appear to be similar to Fifty Shades of Grey, but this novel is far better! Not only does the plot build up and create conflict, but there is character development, romance and a little bit of suspense! It's a great read for someone wanting a little splash of everything.

Erica, our main character, has a strong personality and does not seem like a wash-out type of character. Her story is slowly released throughout the novel and her relationships with characters seemed real and not forced.

There were not many issues I had with the novel. If anything, I would have preferred it to be just a few more chapters longer to tie up a few loose ends, but this novel is part of a series so that isn't a big issue. 

Overall, I loved this novel. I want to read the rest of the books in this series!

I didn’t have high expectations for this book and I was still a little disappointed in the end. The plot was all over, the characters were hot and cold making it difficult to connect with them, and overall, I just didn’t like it. The female lead was a pushover who portrayed herself as strong and the relationship between the two was rushed and not well developed. The smut was like 3.5/5.

Such a quick read because I literally couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Erica and Blake is electric. I can’t wait to read the next book, to find out more of their story! Addicted to say the least.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. I don't think I'll continue the series, because I just didn't enjoy it enough. Granted, I could just be getting tired of this genre. I've been reading books like these for about twelve years now, which is half my life at this point. This genre is very repetitive, and there's very little I haven't seen.

Blake Landon is a hacker-turned-billionaire. Erica Hathaway is a fresh Harvard grad looking to make her mark on the business world with her up-and-coming online fashion boutique she created. She just needs someone to help her fund it, but when she pitches to Blake, he refuses to help her company. He's more interested in her.

I was disappointed there wasn't more hacking. I was hoping this would be something fresh for the genre. Unfortunately, it feels like another Fifty Shades copy, although the quality here is worlds better than Fifty Shades. Another billionaire going after another broke chick who values her independence. It's been done over and over. It's fun, which is why these stories are so plentiful, but it's nothing too spectacular.

The writing was great. I loved Blake and Erica, and how their relationship developed and took them both out of their comfort zones. I liked that Blake has depth beyond just being disarmingly attractive. This book broached the subjects of rape and drug abuse, but only in the sense of what these things did to their relationship. 

I didn't like the meet-cute. The first time these two characters met, I made slow progress from all the eye-rolling I was doing. Essentially, Erica walks into him in a restaurant, and he steadies her and stares into her eyes... and then it's an insta-lust attack. Other than that, it's an enjoyable read, but just not a favorite of mine.

It was okay. Good enough for me to be curious about the sequels. Although once again I liked every character more than the main one, Erica. She was all over the place. The book started out better than it finished too. Important discussions between characters felt left out. An extra few chapters would have easily fleshed everything out more.

I actually started this book yesterday and I just couldn’t put it down. If it weren’t for the fact that at about halfway my eyes were tired and started deleting blurry when reading I would have finished it last night .

I love the story and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
