found this book through booktwt, some people are simping over roth and even put him beside adrian volkov. i have mixed feelings about roth though, he's too.. pushy. too controlling. at some points, i often think, "damn.. won't it counted as rape?" as jas repeatedly asked him to stop, but he kept on going without listening or considering what she said. he often put the words onto her mouth too, i feel soooo frustrated during the read.

mia knight's writing helped a lot, she keeps the plot interesting and sentences easy to read. that, got me hooked. 

not sure if i'm gonna start the next book, heard the series gonna be a tetralogy and i've tasted the glimpse of mia's cliffhanger here so i expected the next book gonna have more intense cliffhanger. i'm just gonna wait until the series is finished before starting the next book. x

i was excited for this book but this was just bad. the fmc had no backbone and was incredibly pathetic and this man was too violent for my taste + the plot was kinda boring

i was enjoying this at first but then the plot lost me. jasmine and roth were interesting characters but i couldn't care less about the plot.

another thing i also didn't like was the constant dubcon scenes. the first one was admittedly hot but the succeeding ones made me uncomfortable to the point that i skip it. 

now i need mia knight to release the next book

Wow ok so im broken. I read so much dark romance but honestly, Roth is on another LEVEL. Not everyone is going to like him and im ok with that, because I claim him. 

Jasmin is AMAZING. I love her and I need more of her. Her character is so strong and believable and just everything.

this was problématique perfection but i'm gonna need for roth to g r o v e l in the second book or else. also, i'd give my left titty to get a roth pov in bitter secrets, so mia knight please i'm once again asking you to give us that. i don't know what else to say about this other than it got me out of a reading slump, the sex scenes were hot, the chemistry between the characters was so damn good, the H is every sjw's nightmare and i loved it.

Absolutely LOVED this second chance romance. It's a bit dark, very raw, hot off the charts, and fantastically written (as always if it's Mia Knight). Jasmine is a badass heroine and Roth is probably a little bit crazy, but crazy for Jasmine and that's all that matters. This ends on a mild cliffhanger but I'm still dying for book 2!
