3.5 🌟 Even though I thought that it was random that Cree got his own book since he was barely involved in the previous books, I unexpectedly ended up liking Cree. He's such a sweetie and so patient especially with Ophelia! Best part is that he loves to read!! Ophelia and Cree are actually a good match too!

I love how you smile when you think no one’s looking at you. I love that you’re shy but there’s this fire in you anyway and when you let it out? So this book was the one that actually introduced me to this series, it was because of some aesthetic videos and some quotes from this book that made me want to start the series and I was a little bit disappointed! It was fun and Cree and Ophelia were so damn cute and hot at the same time, don't get me wrong I had a lot of fun but I thought it would be better than TeddyVanessa but i think Teddy and Vanessa will never stop being my favorite couple of this series not only for them as a couple but also because of their book! Tho I think Cree is one of my fave characters and I can relate a little bit with Ophelia and her love for books!! 
The way their story stars is why at lie from both parts and I quite didn't understand why Ophelia didn't remember the night but okay it was still a nice read and fast paced!! When I try to remember why I was a little bit disappointed I can't really remember but I just know that they didn't give me the buzz Teddy and Vanessa did and I was sad because this was the one I was so excited about!! Though I love them and end up really having fun, it was just an okay read and that's okay! Also loved how both of them were soft and cute and kind like sunshine/sunshine trope for sure but once they are alone in the bedroom Cree is a totally different guy in a really really good and hot way, of course and I loved that so much!!



  He thinks he’s the lucky one, but I think it’s pretty equal between us. I never thought I’d find a love like the ones I read about between the pages of my favorite books, but here it is, and I’ll never take it for granted.

Good Guys Don’t Lie is book four in ‘The Boys’ books. This one follows Cree after he met a girl who called herself ‘Daisy’ at a party. At the party he really connected with her because he could see that she also didn’t want to really be there like him. For the next year he tried everything he could to find this girl. Finally she sat down across from him at the diner thinking he was her tutor but had no memory of their time together. 
	I enjoyed how this book was so different than the typical jock book. Cree and Ophelia compliment each other so well. This book is probably one of my favorites from the series just for the fact of its like nothing else I have read. Micalea Smeltzer does an amazing job of writing these books to destroy stigmatizims and open your eyes with hitting hard to reach ideas.

Disappointing

The spicy scenes are great, but they're pretty much the only things holding this book together. The plot is terrible, as is the plot execution. The characters are meh, Cree is nice, but Ophelia had so much untapped potential. 

I wish this book was different. It could have been so much better.

I quite liked Cree and Ophelia. They're both bookworms.
I'm not one to usually enjoy very much the "instalove" trope, this one is more "attraction at first sight" and I quite liked the story even if it's not one of my favourite tropes!

I found the characters lovable, it's a sports (hockey) college romance (romcom) with a tutor-student relationship, steamy (good smut 😊) with autistic representation (and dare I say a bit of demisexual vibes).
