I've been dying for Rush and Kira's story, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! I love how they're all "this is just sex, doesn't mean anything", yet it does mean a whole lot to both of them.

I love how realistic this story felt when it came to healing from addiction and grief. My heart broke so many times for these two beautiful souls. It’s not an easy road for them; it’s why this book is so chunky. But, as always, the author handled it all with grace and had me in sobbing so loudly, I scared my dog! My heart almost burst when I noticed the cameo that the characters from 

did! This is a book Micalea wrote years ago, and it's one of my faves by her! Having these two world collides, especially for Rush's journey, was a pleasant surprise (and had me crying again).

I also just loved being back with The Wild band. They're all just one big family, and I wish they were real! The friendship between Cannon and Rush grabbed a hold of me and choked me up. The support they all have for one another is so beautiful to read about.

Overall, Rising has a mix of spicy, sweet, and angsty romance, with an added second chance after the journey of healing comes into play. It’s heart-wrenching, yet so beautifully written.
