Honestly, the story is cute but I feel this book was unnecessary. It felt like it was dragged out! I was happy with the ending though.

 this book… this whole story just gives me all kinds of good feelings. I finished the first book two days ago and inhaled this book in a day. I just had to know answers from the last book. While I enjoyed the first book a tad more this one was also enjoyable seeing how Salem and Thayer grow together. I love how this book ended and where the story lead us. Thayer man, he is for real my current favorite book husband. Almost too perfect at times. I loved how this book was dual POV. It was a tad repetitive at times and that was a little annoying but overall I am very much in love with this story. Curious to see what she does with it in the 3rd book set to come out this fall!

           Such a sweet and happy ending to this book. I’m not overly critical of books because I know sometimes love stories aren’t easy. Some are complicated and complex and take mor work than others. Salem and Thayer have known they were meant to be together but they both just needed to get out of their own way. To finally see love and happiness for them both made me so happy. Such a heartwarming read, loved this series.

This book was even better then the first one! I cried so much while reading this.. the ending was everything and more.. such a beautiful love story.. the tragedy in these books were heartbreaking but in the end it was beautiful. Great job to the author!

I am a sucker for second chance romances but all of the marriage and pregnancy was a lot for me (I know lots of people like this but it’s just not for me)

It lasso moved really fast but I guess it kinda had to or else it would be 700 pages

All in all I enjoyed this duet a lot and would recommend

This was a solid end to the duet.
I did find it a little info dumpy at the start, and I was expecting it to be way more angsty than it was, but it was a pleasant second-chance romance.
I found it cathartic, healing and positive.
However this was all undone by the ending. I found it abrupt, rushed and almost unfinished. In fact, I reached out to make sure it wasn’t a file error and that was indeed the ending. It almost felt like Micalea felt she was taking too long and just ended when she felt like it, rather than where the story deserved. Which is strange considering the last 10% of the book was wrapping up, only for the book to finish with no preamble whatsoever. It was disappointing. I wanted to see the ultimate family happy moment and we didn’t get that. For me, it’s taken the shine off a beautiful duet.

sawry but this duet gave nothing 😭 book 2 was so disappointing which is saying a lot after the mess that was book 1. the thing that irks me so bad is the way in which salem revealed to thayer the news about their kid. it was so underwhelming and that man had absolutely no reaction like where’s the emotion ?? the whole conversation was literally just “btw i had ur kid 5 years ago” “oh fr? cool.” like what happened to having personalities ?? also caleb is a better person than me fr bc i would’ve been so fed up w all of their shit someone give that man love. will never understand why he was so whipped for salem she stepped all over the poor guy

I had a love/hate with the first book but this book blew me away with how it hit so close to home in the end. I was a blubbering and snotty mess and it really sealed the deal with this duet. I thought I hated it for the raw emotions it made me feel, but it's only the opposite. I love it. It wrecked me and healed me and the narration of the audiobook was so beautiful too.

I love that Micalea didn’t write that Salem was pregnant instantly the second time around. The fact that she endured negative test after negative test when wanting another baby hit me so closely. It’s been two years and i’m still waiting on that positive test, after suffering an early miscarriage it really hit me in the emotions when I read this. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but it felt raw and real and despite the fact I hated that Salem didn’t tell him for nearly six years, i still loved every bit of this story.

Ok mad props to Caleb. He’s a real one. I loved how the co-parenting ended up. I did feel like things got rushed a bit, but I loved the plot nonetheless. The way my heart stopped when she got in the car accident? Not cool Smeltzer. I seriously thought she died or like was seriously injured. Them visiting the graves and Seda being so open was sweet. I hate her name though 😂 I understand it’s meaning I just can’t get down with how weird everyone’s names were. The ending was so sweet. Second chance stories are some of my favorites especially when they have a love like these two.
Overall I give this one a 4.5/5 I loved it so much and would definitely recommend to a friend.
