It took me a while to build up the courage to pick up this book. I feel like I've been reading this series forever and I cannot imagine my life without waiting for the latest one in the series to come out. But even though its over I can't say I have any regrets. This book was just as tragic, as gripping as I hoped and imagined it would be. It was a great conclusion to all of this amazing characters. I definitely reccomend it to everyone who likes the unexpected.

It's been over a year since all the adults disappeared. Gone. In the time since every person over the age of fourteen disappeared from the town of Perdido Beach, California, countless battles have been fought: battles against hunger and lies and plague, and epic battles of good against evil. Light, Michael Grant's sixth and final book in the bestselling Gone series creates a masterful, arresting conclusion to life in the FAYZ. And now, the gaiaphage has been reborn as Diana's malicious mutant daughter, Gaia. Gaia is endlessly hungry for destruction. She yearns to conquer her nemesis, Little Pete, and then bend the entire world to her warped will. As long-standing enemies become allies, secrets are revealed and unexpected sacrifices are made. Will their attempts to save themselves and one another matter in the end, or will the kids of Perdido Beach perish in this final power struggle? This was such a stunning conclusion to such a darkly brutal series. This book has all the right elements. It is fast-paced, has a lot of action, great character development, heartbreaking moments, funny moments, dramatic scenes, and the brutality that this series is known for. And best of all, it is going to leave you at the edge of your seat even after you have finished reading it. Unlike the other books in the series, Light was pretty straightforward. There was only one objective since the start and it drove the whole plot: To defeat the gaiaphage. Gaia is one of my favorite villains. She is pure evil and the fact that she was in the body of a small girl made it even better. I am completely terrified and enchanted with her. She always has an objective to fulfill and I liked the way she is compared to a goddess. Her character was a culmination of the entire series and gave her so much weight as an antagonist. Grant has something special. He was able to create so many characters and each one of them is unique and different from one another. He created this whole world, and never spared anything. He was able to describe human nature perfectly. He created an intriguing and evil villain that knows no limit. But above all, he made me love a wild and dangerous place. I wouldn't imagine myself living in the FAYZ, it's just too much; but I'm glad it exists. Gaia was terrifying until the very end, the death toll in this book is extremely high and main characters aren't spared in the slightest. I loved every single one of these characters and have loved seeing their character arcs grow and change from book to book. The story was so brutal. Despite this, the end is still hopeful. Probably the best ending this series could have had. Amazing work.

** spoiler alert ** The last book of the series ! Wow there was definitely some surprising and tragic character deaths. I was hoping they would come back somehow.. but hey I had hope. What Caine did at the end was one huge sacrifice and with diana watching.. wow. I loved how the book was fast paced and the part where they were all running when the dome finally disappeared. Thankfully Michael showed how things ended up for everyone after the dome disappeared

Fantastic end to a fantastic series!

It was a perfect end to a fantastic book series that I love. What a satisfying conclusion!

i didn't write reviews for a while, i didn't write reviews for the prequals of this either. This book was great. A great ending for a great series. A book with live charectors and live plot. a fight for survival. But unlike the hunger games the charectors were well defined. The teens who has devoloped powers and normals, especially eldilio are fighting against the ultimate evil in the FAYZ. But the violence in this book and series was more than needed. Still i give it a 5star. And this book contained a great deal of underage sex, which wasn't necessery either. i know theres gays and lesbians and out there, but there isn't a need to be everything in balance. This book lacked clarity at some point. plot failed miserably at some other. u may find intersting reviews in my blog

I read this series years ago and it is one I've never been able to forget. I read it most years on holiday because it is so insanely amazing. I loved all the characters from Sam to Astrid to Quinn to Brianna and especially Caine and Diana. The villains of the series were also amazing and Caine's redemption arc was the best part of this book for me. It was the series that made me fall in love with reading, the dystopian aspect was amazing and it being based on teenagers made it really relatable as a YA reader. AMAZING, 10000% worth it. If you love the maze runner series this one is for you!!

**4.5 stars** Will do a series review on my blog anf youtube channel!

A very satisfying ending to a wonderful series.

Holy shit.

I have read all the books, the first one a long time ago. And I started off with an interest in the series but with each book l, it was less and less excitement. The series is good, and the story line is different, but it wasn't my type. I read this one for the sake of the series, since it was the last one. It was satisfactory enough, but didn't enjoy it much like the story's true fans.

A really fantastic way to end the series. Almost every single question I had was answered. There are still a few things I wish were cleared up, but they were minor. Overall, I thought the book was a very solid finale. It's not easy to close out a series, but Grant was able to do it with a flourish. I absolutely recommend this book.
