           I read it in one day and I really liked it. After reading some poetry books that I didn't like I was happy about this one. I enjoyed reading this poetry collection. There were some poems I didn't like that much, but I loved most of them. 
I could really connect to some poems and some of my favourites are part of ''please love me at my worst'' and ''please love me for who i am''.

Perfect for fans of Rupi Kaur and short, digestible poetry collections

An exquisite read. 

The poetess' play with words, the expressiveness and depth radiate the feelings we sometimes cannot describe. Talking about body positivity, mental health, loneliness, and acceptance has never been so crucial; these poems build up self-esteem, self-appreciation, and self-love. Working on ourselves has always been THE achievement, THE goal, and it is always a great feeling to find words of support and encouragement, even better when they are put together this beautifully. 

Some of the poems were too short to pass a message, too quick a read to make an impact. However, these few poems did not take away much of the poetry collection's worth and performance. The collection feels like a good and open conversation with yourself, the one we always want to do but are scared of it. And it is always a good idea to have one: loving yourself is paramount.

'Please love me at my worst' is a poetry collection, divided in four different sections, about growth, self-love and learning to deal with heartbreak. 

I gave this a try because I saw it had some very good critics, but knowing my history with 'modern poetry', I probably should've stayed away. Most of her poems are not really bad, but they are mere two or three line poems, which makes them feel as incomplete. Also, some of them are dictionary definitions, which infuriates me. 

Also, is it just me or do all of these 'modern poetry’ books (Amanda Lovelace, Lili Reinhart, etc, etc.) contain strikingly similar poems? I feel like I have already read this.

At least the cover is cute, I will give her that.

Please Love Me at My Worst is a collection of short form poetry and prose focusing on learning to love yourself before others. Fans of Amanda Lovelace and Rupi Kaur will enjoy this book. 

I wasn't overly moved by any of the poems mostly because a lot of them were very similar to others I've read before. There was nothing new to move me or make me think "wow that's really deep". I wasn't upset by my read, but I wasn't thrilled either.

I'm not normally a person who reads poetry but this collection I really enjoyed. Its hard to rate/review poetry as it is very subjective and while one person connects to a collection another may not. In this instance I very much connected with the author's writing style and the poetry itself. 

Beautifully written and lyrical this poetry collection centres around the pursuit of who you are as a person and learning not only to love yourself, heal from past trauma while also learning to accept and let go of those who don't deserve your love. 

My favourite section was definitely learning to heal and love your inner child, these poems in particular spoke to me and it genuinely felt nice to feel that someone else can put into words what you are feeling.
