If I truly loved him, she said, I would let him go.

"It's my way of telling you that I can't bear to look at my bed without seeing you in it," he said, and his words made me shiver. "So do try to avoid a lockdown."

I felt him withdraw, and I opened my eyes. "I'll get right on that," I breathed.

Without Noah, I would be truly, completely alone in this.

My father might be right. If I lost Noah, I might just lose my mind.

"Now that that's settled, I 've set you up for a tour with Phoebe Reynard, another student at Horizons. Yes," he said, nodding meaningfummy, "everyone is a

Teenagers began to file into the room. Jamie added a comment under his breath with each one. "Phoebe's the psycho," he said, when she walked in. "Tara's the klepto, Adam's the sadist, and Meghan's the 'phobe."

didn't matter; I just came back from an involuntary stay at a psych unit.

Their sibling bond is so perfect😭😭 i love them as partners in crime😭

Mara Dyer knows she isn't crazy. She knows that she can kill with her mind, and that Noah can heal with his. Mara also knows that somehow, Jude is not a hallucination. He is alive. Unfortunately, convincing her family and doctors that she's not unstable and doesn't need to be hospitalised isn't easy. The only person who actually believes her is Noah. But being with Noah is dangerous and Mara is in constant fear that she might hurt him. She needs to learn how to control her power, and fast! Together, Mara and Noah must try and figure out exactly how Jude survived when the asylum collapsed, and how he knows so much about her strange ability… before anyone else ends up dead!

“Noah craved danger because he was never in it; he was careless because he didn’t believe he could actually break. But he wanted to. He wasn’t afraid of me—not just because he believed I couldn’t hurt him, but because even if I did, he’d welcome the pain. Noah was still chasing oblivion. And in me, he found it.”

ngl this book broke me. it broke me pieces coz what is this??? 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Mara Dyer wants to believe there's more to the lies she's been told. There is. She doesn't stop to think about where her quest for the truth might lead. She should. She never had to imagine how far she would go for vengeance. She will now. Loyalties are betrayed, guilt and innocence tangle, and fate and chance collide in this shocking conclusion to Mara Dyer's story. Retribution has arrived.

The Retribution of Mara Dyer

“I love you. Today. Tonight. Tomorrow. Forever. If I were to live a thousand years, I would belong to you for all of them. If I were to live a thousand lives, I would want to make you mine in each one.”

This book had a lot of answers and for that I am grateful. It all came full circle. I am satisfied. I was not blown away, probably because someone spoiled me a bit, but I am satisfied.

Great end to a series!
Really enjoyed it.
Greatly written.
Jamie grew on me too.
Love Noah, always had

This book was hard to get through for me. I struggled through the middle section of the book until the story really took off! After that I couldn't put it down. Very well written, very good story.
I do find myself a little lost sometimes when things happen too fast I find myself having to re-read to understand and even then the wording doesn't get to me either. I find it hard to imagine. Maybe it's cause I'm reading late at night half asleep.

All in all a very good book, recommend.
Looking forward to reading the next instalment.

Favourite Character: of course Noah!

This book series just keeps getting more and more confusing but I actually love it so much!

the retribution of mara is the third and final book of the mara dyer trilogy. i feel a bit uncomfortable summarizing these books because everything – the actual summary, the descriptions, the beginning – is very vague. there’s a dark, mysterious aura to the whole thing and i feel like summarizing it would destroy that. it’s better to enter this series knowing (nearly) nothing, except for the fact that it’s good (so good). all i can say is, it’s fairly creepy and borderlining horror. oh, and there’s a really attractive male character here. definitely fangirl worthy.

michelle hodkin is the queen of dialogue. the banter between the characters is the best. i look forward to pages that have nothing but dialogue; and luckily for me, there are tons. there’s no lighter way of saying this: her writing style is spot-on. i just *heart eye emoji*. one moment i’m laughing my head off, next i’m shivering from the creeps. there are so many contrasting elements – murder, love, supernatural powers, and science – that blend together perfectly, and it kinda blows my mind. reading the final book of the series, i fell in love with her sassy, and sometimes poetic, sentences all over again.

if you read unbecoming and evolution, but haven’t started this.. i suggest re-reading the first two before you start. i waited a year for the release of this book and forgot a lot. it’s not that i was lost, but there are a lot of references to both books. i missed all of them, obviously, but i re-read parts of unbecoming and evolution (after i finished retribution) and ohmygoODNESS there were so many references. so please, begin this book with a fresh memory of the past two.

Now I can't wait to start the third book!
