What my body and heart hated wasn’t the running itself. It was the idea of everyone seeing me fail.

Cosy and light, yet deeply thought-provoking

I'm torn between a 2-3 star review because this book was cute but it really felt like one of those that flat out told you the exact lesson you should learn from each tale. I do think it was a cozy read and filled with lessons that people should internalize. It made me savor the moments that you take a step back and realize that you should enjoy life and the others around you. For the most part I liked all the stories, except the third one with the woman whose ear's hurt. (I returned the book, so I don't have the character names in front of my). Her conflict felt really out of left field (liking a man at work she never conveyed this feeling to and feeling jealousy for him getting married to someone else). 

However, I did enjoy the read overall and it did make me take a beat and realize I need to do a better job of seeing the bigger picture in life, and taking strides in internalizing lessons that would make me a better person.
