Familiar images and subjects are a starting-off point for extending knowledge. Wonderwise links the familiar and the unknown, encouraging primary graders to think and question as they explore basic topics and concepts, like atmosphere and altitude, human bodies and animal bodies, that they will return to again as they learn and grow.
