Very cheesy but just what I needed. It doesn't hurt that it was free. Reread finished sometime on October 30. I really enjoyed this reread although sometimes Megan got on my nerves.

I hadn’t planned to read Waking Up Married by Mira Lyn Kelly. It was free on Amazon so I ordered it and started reading immediately. I don’t read adult fiction much anymore, so it was something of a change. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. For the most part Waking Up Married was funny and enjoyable chick-lit. I felt like there was something missing though. I wasn’t invested at all and think anything could have happened and I would have been like “Meh.”. The idea of a marriage based around mutual respect and appreciation rather than love was interesting, but the outcome was totally predictable. The humor is what really kept me reading. I would have given the book a higher rating if the humor had stayed through the whole thing, but it didn’t. Like halfway through things got “serious” and the humor sort of just evaporated. Bummer. I don’t mean to make it sound like I didn’t like this book. On the contrary, I found it enjoyable and finished it fairly quickly. Did I love it? No. Will I read it again? Probably not. Was it worth it? Yes.

cute!

Blog | Twitter | Instagram | Full review/potential spoilers alert: http://bookgirl.co.vu/post/7270349501... This novel is one of the eBooks you can receive for free on iTunes, Amazon and Netgalley (as well as, I’m sure, many other sites) and is surprisingly well written for what you come to find in the erotic freebies sections. It’s an easy paced novel and very fluffy and it will definitely cater to fans of romance novels. If you’re looking to fill a craving on a “will they, won’t they” sort of relationship, this book offers that in a very amusing way. It has a fast paced storyline, swoon worthy moments and comedy gold featured in some interactions featured throughout the novel. And the title says it all when it comes to the plot. Overall, it was definitely very enjoyable and any fan of romance novels will certainly love this quick paced lovestory. Disclaimer: it will not be your cup of tea if you aren’t big on the simplistic ways typical romance novels are written.
