This book literally almost had me in tears because at first to be honest I didn't know that black people have to go through so much in the past. And after reading this book and watching some movies and knowing about the history about what happened to black people it made me so mad. And I didn't know that Emmett Till existed until I read this book and the horrifying things that the 14 year old child went through just because he was accused of something was so horrible. And I believe that his case was part pf tge many other cases thags helped other taces speak up and  join movement to pass the Civil Rights Act.
