Garth Nix

Breathtaking magical adventure series from the author of Sabriel.

Mister Monday (The Keys to the Kingdom, Book 1)

Seven days. Seven keys. Seven virtues. Seven sins. One mysterious house is the doorway to a very mysterious world - where one boy is about to venture and unlock a number of fantastical secrets. Arthur's life is saved by a key shaped like the minute hand of a clock. He is safe, but his world is not.

Mister Monday by Garth Nix

I'd been staring at this book for months wondering whether or not to get it when I was given a free copy after pre-ordering the Harry Potter book. For some reason, every teenage book remotely linked with magic is compared to Harry Potter, but I think there's no need, they stand completely separate and in some ways I enjoyed this more than Harry Potter.
The Keys to the Kingdom series of books are excellent. They're a great read for all ages. I'm eighteen, only on Friday and I definately intend to finish the series! Garth Nix is a great YA author and I look forward to more work from him.
