Crew nods. “With green eyes and an appreciation for art.”

This…is who people have a crush on? Absolutely not.

“Visually, it’s stunning. And Spider-Man is in it.” When I frown, he continues, “Tobey Maguire.”

“Tom Holland is a better Spider-Man,” I automatically say around the lollipop still in my mouth, because I believe it.

Crew scowls. “Hell no. Tobey is the Spider-Man of my childhood. He’s forever Spidey.”

Crew nods, turning in his seat so he’s facing me more fully.

I blink at him, my eyes wanting to fill with tears, though I don’t know why.

“You definitely should,” she says, her gaze on the pink bag sitting on my lap. “He chooses well.”

** spoiler alert **
           This book was interesting to say the least, the beginning started off strong with minsogynst boys especially Crew Lancaster. And the teacher thing was very weird but glad Crew spoke up and got him arrested thankfully. I believe they mentioned Wren being a virgin a billion times which is just too repetitive, made it seem like that's the entire plot lmao. 

But as I got to the middle and ending of the book, Crew did develop some good character development imo. He was/is a rich snob who spoke disgustingly of women but he changed his ways as he got to know Wren better. Yes, his motives at first were negative and wrong. And what he did when she saw him and his boys smoking weed and groped her breast without consent was extremely wrong and disgusting. That's no excuse and I won't gloss over that. I think that was very unnecessary on the author's part. 

Crew did become more respectful and understanding of Wren, he grew with her. He made the efforts to get to genuinely know her. IF his motives were still the same, he wouldn't have met her in the gallery, take her out, etc. He's never made that much effort for any girl and he knew that. He said it himself in the book. 

Wren grew out of her shell and could now stand up for herself and do what makes her happy. Both Wren and Crew helped each other grow throughout the book, Wren helped Crew change for the better. He became a better man for her. He treated her very well from when he started to gain real true feelings for her. He saw her for who she was and didn't toss her to the side. He learned what love is. All because of Wren. 

People can change for the better, it is up to them to want to really change. Crew did that and Wren saw how much he changed his ways for her. He improved himself and became a man. I'm happy Wren got her happy ending :)

This was another case of me being constantly distracted by Kindle Unlimited books…

AMKIYL wasn’t for me despite it’s solid 4 star average rating on here - which is pretty good for a KU romance. The book started off strong but ended up falling a bit flat. I was here for the enemies-to-lovers angst but should have known better than to read anything set in high school (except Empire High, I guess there is always an exception to the rule). It was just a bit too childish for me and some of the side plots felt performative and were left hanging without any follow up or closure.

Read if you like:
• Stories about wealthy prep school kids
• Luxury lifestyle - art, designer brands, fashion etc. 
• Bad boy / good girl trope
• Angsty pining 

On second thought, if that sounds good to you, just go read #MagnoliaParks instead 🙃

I knew by page three that this would become my favorite book. OMG I literally am so obsessed and wish I could read it for the first time and I just finished it 2 seconds ago!!! First things first, the name Crew is so odd but I’m literally obsessed with it; it fits his character so well I can’t imagine his name being anything else. Now to Wren’s name, I’ve literally loved animal themed names since forever, Wren being an all time favorite, it’s so perfect and sweet. Their love was so beautiful and just a great read. I want something like them. They were the most perfect couple. I loved that the storyline revolved around them getting to know each other and digging deep into each other. I laughed out loud when they started arguing about which Spider-Man was best. It was so refreshing and just amazing to see this type of love story; when the rumor with Natalie came about, I loved that Crew immediately needed to see Wren and explain. They wanted each other first before anyone and they carved holes into each other’s entire beings with friendship and then love. They are the perfect soulmates. I love love love this book and I hope everyone (even if they don’t end up loving it like me) reads it

I kinda related to some parts of the book , just some . Besides this book made me want to have more luxurious things , an other chanel lipstick and a chanel or Louis bag , some dior some perfume .

I love this book a lot I’ve heard a lot about it on TikTok and was skeptical but so glad I read it. I binged it in one night one sitting and I couldn’t be more happy. Some cases I was surprised like the lollipop scene (ew) but also some cases were cringe. But in the end I’m a hopeless romantic and so I love it anyway 😭😭 ( I need a crew in my life)

The first couple chapters were a little eh for me, I was almost tempted to not finished but I was curious. I absolutely hated Crew at the beginning but he started to grow on me. I just hated how he would speak about Wren to others or just in his thoughts. It had an odd scandal too, which was part of the reason why I almost just stopped. It just felt unnecessary to the story. Halfway in, it started to get better though. Overall, I really enjoyed the ending and epilogue.

The last 100 pages dragged and the whole story is extremely predictable, girl hates guy, guy loves girl, guy makes girl fall, conflict and then resolution.
