Popular Skullture examines a key movement in book cover history: the 'Golden Age' of pulp fiction publishing during the '30s, '40s and '50s, when countless skull motifs could be found on crime, horror and fantasy books. This new collection brings together 160 of the creepiest, oddest and downright most disturbing designs of the era, many of them by the late, great Wally Wood of MAD magazine fame.
