If you read my short review for Perfect Couple, the second book in the Superlatives series, then you know that I have been waiting for Most Likely to Succeed because I have been crushing on Sawyer and I wanted him to have his own story and eeeeek! I liked it so much!

We know from the previous books that Sawyer is the clown and the one who gets around with girls, if you get my drift here. What we got to read in this book was how vulnerable and how real he truly is as a person and I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel for him throughout the book. I want to hug him and tell him that things will get better for him because I don't want him sad! He is much more than people at school give him credit for—he's very school smart! I think Kaye brought out the Sawyer that wants to have a better future. He wants to be good enough for her and we all know that Kaye is thriving to have good grades to go to Columbia.

The thing with Kaye is that she has this awful boyfriend *shudders* and I can't comprehend why she stayed with him for so long. Seriously, this guy puts her down all the time and ugh, I don't like him. Point is that Kaye would get ordered around a lot by her boyfriend and by her mom, a whole lot more than a teen should. I felt for her but was also frustrated with her because she wouldn't stick up for herself as much as she should have but Sawyer would be there for her and he loved her curls a lot, which in my opinion is points in favor for this guy.

In this final installment, we get to see all of the amazing characters from the previous books, which I must admit I will miss, but not as much as Sawyer. I will miss his character a lot! I missed his funny character a bit in this book. I wish there had been a balance between his vulnerable side and his funny side but I still enjoyed the book! This was a great ending to a great series and I hope you guys enjoy this one as much as I did :)

This one grew on me. I admit I was not a fan of Kaye, at first, she was too quick to judge, but I have adored Sawyer for the past two books and needed to read this one.

This is a fun YA novel and was exactly what I wanted to read. Sadly, I don't think it was as good as the other two, but I still really enjoyed it when viewing it by itself, I just didn't enjoy it as much in comparison to the other two, does that make sense?

Jennifer Echols always delivers a good read, though, of that I should never doubt her. Sometimes reading a bit of high school drama is fun, especially when some of it is relatable (pressuring yourself too much and talking yourself out of things because you don't think you're good enough or that it makes sense) but it's also just good escapism.

I'm not going to claim this book is anything but fluff, but t was the good satisfying kind that won't give you tooth ache.

I love sawyer with all of my heart!!!!! Like I’m seriously swooning over him and I finished the book hours ago. I didn’t even have to read the first two books flit fall madly in love with this character. Surprisingly for not to have read the other two books picking up the story and understanding the characters went off without a hitch. I never felt like I missed anything because the author incorporated moments from the the past and explained them in detail. I loved the depth to the Kaye and Sawyer. There parent added so much texture to the story that it was impossible not to view the larger picture. Jennifer captured the essence of high school with these characters and didn’t shy too much away from touching the interracial dating. She added adult context into the book seamlessly which I appreciated and enjoyed. Overall I loved this book and shipped its characters.

I've been a fan of Jennifer Echols' Superlatives series since I first read Biggest Flirts last year. I liked the setup of using the yearbook superlatives to show that there is more to the characters than what category they were voted into. I liked the characters and the relationships that emerged. The first two books were excellent YA contemporaries and this book made a fantastic addition to the series. 

I can't even lie, Sawyer's story was the one I've wanted from the start. He intrigued me. I suspected there was more to him than met the eye and I'm thrilled to find out I was right. Of course, I was also simultaneously saddened by the truth about his home life and relationship with his father. But, seriously, I just loved him. To the world he was a player and a goofball, but looks are definitely deceiving in this case.

I totally got Kaye's character. Oh, did I ever. The pressure she put on herself, how hard she worked, her drive and desire to succeed. I got her. In high school, I was her in a lot of ways. (Thankfully my mom wasn't as pushy as hers though.) I admired Kaye's dedication to everything – her school work, her extracurricular activities, her friends. I wanted her to stand up for herself a little more when it came to certain situations (namely the crummy boyfriend) and it took some time, but she finally did. I cheered internally. 

Despite Kaye being with another guy for a good quarter of the book and Sawyer (supposedly) being the hopeless player, I shipped these two hard. I loved their chemistry. I adored how they looked out for each other and encouraged each other when it was needed. (When Kaye wasn't being snarky and unknowingly insulting Sawyer. She made up for it.) All in all, they were just wonderful together. I thought Jennifer gave us a realistic look at a high school romance, too, by dealing responsibly with sex and emotions.
 
Most Likely to Succeed was a perfect close to the Superlatives series. We had an opportunity to see more from Tia and Will and Harper and Brody, which I really enjoyed. I laughed and, maybe, even teared up a time or two. So good!
