I absolutely looooved this book! I have completely fallen in love with TL Swan’s writing. Mr. Masters is a fantastic display of witty banter, forbidden desires and keeping faith in what can be. One of my favorite things about this book was the amount of hilarious, but relatable internal dialogue. It solidified a real connection with the characters right from the start.

Judge Julian Masters is a pompous, alpha to the core. He’s grumpy and aloof, completely disconnected. Having been windowed 5 years prior he struggles to connect with his children as a single dad until Brielle, his new nanny, starts to show him the way. Julian’s not only closed off with his children but with women as well, he’s deliciously kinky but keeps his feelings entirely shut off. You kinda want to smack him as much as you want to jump his bones making him just the kinda Hero I like. The narration from Shane East as this character is to die for. He brings all of Julian’s emotions to the surface with such raw feeling that I caught myself tearing up. Shane's ability to acutely portray Julian's vulnerabilities allows you to bond with his character, making him human. And yes, Shane is pure fire, going for those deep and domineering vibes just how you’d like him to.

Can I be best friends with Brielle? Seriously. She is such a passionate burst of sunshine. As sweet and compassionate as can be yet fierce as all get out when she’s standing up for what’s right. She puts Julian through the works! At times she can be a little petty but in my opinion she acts no different than any other woman in hers 20s would in these situations. If anything she is mature for her age. Bree loves Julian’s kids so deeply, not just as their nanny but as a constant source of support and genuine care in their lives. The way her character handles certain life situations for both a young boy and teenage girl were commendable, she put them first about all else. Sofia Lette’s narration of Brielle was delightful to listen to. There’s a complete girl next door turned vixen feel to her voice that complements this character perfectly. We had so much time with Bree’s POV and Sofia really kept you invested in the story. She was great at voicing so many characters and I will definitely look for more of her narration in the future. 

TL Swan crafted a story that had me laughing, swooning and melting. I could not stop listening to this book, her writing just sucks you right in! It feels like your sitting right there with the characters and as a reader there isn’t anything more you could ask for.

wow just wow. Mr. Masters had me swooning, hot & pissed. he was so in his head about the whole situation that I found myself being mad at him throughout certain parts of the book. but overall I loved their banter & the way they fell together. Julian was stuck in the past & she was there to help him move forward, he was so solidly stuck in the past that he didn’t even realize that he was actually hiding but Bree made him realize he was still sitting in the shadows & needed to come into the sun. I loved Bree & her strength throughout the book, never once wavering, even while knowing of Julian’s uncertainty.

I read this book back in March and I loved it so much! It made me fall in love with the nanny trope. So cute! Single dad and age gap are two of my favourite tropes and this book has both! It was also my first book by this author and I’ll definitely be reading more.

He is such an alpha male, and I loved that, but I also love how he grows throughout the book. Also, the spice in this book is SO good!! I don’t think I need to say anymore. 

I really love Brielle too! At certain points in the story she did annoy me a little, but overall she was great. She always spoke her mind, which I really liked and her relationship with the kids was amazing.

I laughed a lot while reading this book (golf cart iykyk). Despite it being frustrating at times, it was a really fun read that made me smile. I’d 100% recommend it!

When Julian Masters shows up to pick her up from the airport she should have known that it was a crash and burn situation.  When she sees that the family is broken and Julian is the one with the biggest issues. Bree knows she has to help.  But something keeps pulling her towards Julian.

Vraiment une pépite. J’ai adoré le développement des personnages et l’histoire de fond hors scène de 🍑. Après, elles restent présentes, sont très bien décrites et ne sont pas pour tout type de public. Ça change des livres SMUT sans réel fond, vraiment un plaisir. J’ai jamais été déçue de cette autrice jusqu’à maintenant, j’ai hâte de lire ses autres romans.
