I was expecting more. That's always deadly when you start a book, to be expecting so much from it. And I did like it. But I didn't quite get the intricate puzzle that I expected and so a set-up like that only leads to mediocrity. Don't let my 3 stars keep you from reading it. Being able to crawl in the skin of one of the students taking the Hitchcock film class is worth the read. The story is a good one. And yes, there is a story within a story and it sort of sorts itself out in the end and a "truth" is established - so there is that.
