Oh what I wouldn't give to be 13 in the fall reading this for the first time again.

Magical 🥹 just love how the marauders became so much more three dimensional now and how it seamlessly connects with the Harry Potter universe we love.

This is so much more than a fanfic, this is absolute art - 1500 pages out there for free.

MsKingBean89’s ‘All the young dudes’ has been divided into three books. Here’s the first witch includes years 1-4

volume 1

All the young dudes

Honestly, after watching all those marauders edits on my for you page, I felt like I had a duty to read All the young dudes. I downloaded the book from ao3 and read it in the train to and from uni. And guess what? My for you page was right. This is not just fanfiction, it is fanart. J.K. Rowling could never.

I thought it was refreshing how the characters were not 100% likeable, they all had their flaws and I loved them for it (stan Bambi <3). I loved how there is more in-depth about the first wizarding war and how the werewolves played a role in that one.

I knew it was a wolfstar fanfic, but when I was in the train home reading about the moment they got together, I looked at the invisible camera in shock (like in the Office?) which obviously wasn't there and I just looked very strangely at the man sitting across from me (I left the train at the next stop). Another time I was holding back tears when the train just rolled into my stop and I had to ask people to move so I could get out. It was so worth it. Please read it, it's a free masterpiece.

I don't know if I'm going to read more fanfiction, because I didn't really like reading on my phone, but All the young dudes was definitely awesome.

If you liked this book, I recommend: help to get out of your existential crisis because what are you going to do with your life after you've read this?

I think I'm gonna have to read a little life next, just so I can recover from this.

Currenlty re-reading it because I love pain apparently. MsKingBean understands the HP verse better than JKR does. I will be obsessed with this story FOREVER

Rather fitting that my last read of 2020 was a 1500 page Harry Potter fanfic but you best believe im counting it towards my goal. Also this was amazing and I cried heaps.

It took me a very long time to get through this because it was an emotional rollercoaster and I could only take little at a time. I loved it so much and Remus was written so well. I felt really connected to him. I like that the author changed nothing about the original storyline, but the knowledge about what was going to happen didn’t make it any easier for me.

no thoughts just 'tell me a secret'. screaming, crying.

I was kinda disappointed with this. Not in a way that I would say it was a bad book but rather in a way that I thought it would break me which it didn’t 😂
Recommend it to everyone obsessed with the marauders
