My Dream Farm

Millions of us dream of escaping to the country to be self-sufficient, live the simple life and labour in the fresh air. Some make the leap and turn dream into reality; it can be hugely rewarding, but it is never easy. To do so requires a huge amount of work, resourcefulness and sacrifice, not to mention a portfolio of practical skills (horticultural, mechanical, culinary); an understanding of the land, and its management; and a feeling for the various forms of stock (cattle, pigs, sheep, poultry, bees) and crops (vegetables, fruit, cereals, flowers) that are likely to be husbanded. This will be a beautiful, highly illustrated book - an inspirational guide to the good life for a new generation.
