DNF'd. I understand this is inspired by the Allied soldiers who raped women - and possibly girls - loyal or possibly residing in countries who made up the Axis Power, and men in power will do whatever it takes to condone sexual violence towards females with certain women siding with them, but its still not clear how the politicians came to make this a lawful thing 🤔 I'm glad Mya Roberts doesn't glorify this like how Wattpad and Archive of Our Own authors do ("Its 'dArK fIcTiOn' ") but I've read this far without really understanding how this crime became legalized, so I won't continue.

The writing was monotonous and stilted. Every other scene was an excuse for pure smut and the sexual violence was unnecessary, I'm no prude but it didn't really have any commentary on virginity or sexual freedom. The lead character, who was 2D and dry, was saved time and time again by her love interest. I couldn't wait to finish this, very disappointing.
