A well written memoir about the (mostly) intellectual journey of a devout Muslim to the Christian faith. Helpful for understanding key apologetic arguments for Christ's death, deity and resurrection. Qureshi also gives a lot of helpful information about Islam (especially about Muhammad and the Quran). I would have liked more details about his post-conversion transition, as well as how he reconciles violence in the OT given his struggles with violence done by Muhammad. A satisfying read nonetheless.

I wanted to read this book to get a better understanding of Islam and the challenges that a Muslim faces in accepting Jesus as Lord. This book did not disappoint. It is both a transformation story, and an apologetics course wrapped into a short and easy to read book. Nabeel does an exceptional job of recalling the events and thoughts that he encountered throughout his upbringing and his later conversion. He has a systematic mind that approached Christianity and Islam with scholarly intellect and insight. And I love reading audio books like these when the author reads the text. The take-away for me was that converting a Muslim to Christianity was absolutely impossible, unless you have the help of an omnipotent God. I guess it's a good reminder that God is the one doing the work on their heart.

This quote comes near the end of the book, in the epilogue. The book is not really about suffering, but I thought it was a great quote to keep in mind, considering the book is really an apologetics book more than anything else.
