It was okay. Not bad, but not great either. The author has a bad habit of telling rather than showing, and it felt like very little happened as a result. The investigative process was rather brief, and we spent an awful lot of time in the beginning setting up Zeba's feelings about her husband, her life, and everything. It didn't hold my interest as much as other historical fiction in this setting has in the past.

           “Sometimes it's hard to figure out if you are crazy or if it is the world around you that's insane. Sometimes if you don't lose your mind a little bit, there's no way to survive. You're not broken my daughter, that's what you have to remember.”

The novel is about a woman called Zeba who have face two things- either ruining her future and that of her children or to protect the past of a beautiful and young girl.

The last chapter of this book, wow. I had to re-read it three times. This book touched me in a different way and it left multiple messages that I will hold dear to my heart. 
This book emphasised again, that justice will always rise up against injustice.

Nadia wrote a masterpiece.I just am out of words. The pain and sorrow in this novel is one you can understand so well. How words can be as magical as this?
Fabulous work, really.
Cannot wait to read more of her work!
