This is the first time I've read Horror. I was recommended this novel by a bookstagrammer and decided to check it out; this did not disappoint! Holder artfully weaves a story of three people who yearn for love but succumb to their fears to reach their goal. Only one survives - if you've seen the movie you know who it is. The ending was SO good - Edith's fear and her fight with Lucille is brilliantly written! Except for the incestuous part the rest is good. If you're looking for a Horror novel that doesn't scare you (and can read at night) this is for you.
