A story about losing a parent and coping with the feelings of grief, loss, and anger. Leo's class are all making flower pots to give to their moms at the Mother's Day breakfast. But Leo isn't making a pot. Leo's mom died in a car crash and won't be going to the breakfast. Leo works on his memory book instead, but he's still very angry. He turns his memory book into an imagination book, of all the things his mom would have loved to do. In the end, Leo's dad takes him for a special breakfast and they remember Leo's mom together. Leo's Memory Book explores the issue of bereavement through a sensitive story that children can relate to.
