I have yet to read an Enola Holmes story I didn't enjoy. 

Audiobook: I enjoyed the narrator chosen for this audiobook. She voiced each character well and fit Enola's personality. I liked that this was a shorter audiobook. 

Story: I like this stories (and similar) for various reasons. One being that during this time period women were expected to act a certain way and Enola doesn't. She finds a way to get what she needs without Sherlock's help.. She is good at disguises and working people to get information. 

These stories stay true to Sherlock stories. A great mystery to listen to.

Enola Holmes, the much younger sister of Sherlock, is now living independently in London and working as a scientific perditorian (a finder of persons and things). But that is not
the normal lot of young women in Victorian England. They are under the near absolute control of their nearest male relative until adulthood. Such is the case of Enola's friend, Lady Cecily Alastair. Twice before Enola has rescued Lady Cecily from unpleasant designs of her caddish father, Sir Eustace Alastair, Baronet. And when Enola is brusquely turned away at the door of the Alastair home it soons becomes apparent that Lady Cecily once again needs her help. Affecting a bold escape, Enola takes Lady Cecily to her secret office only to
be quickly found by the person hired by Lady Cecily's mother to find the missing girl- Sherlock Holmes himself. But the girl
has already disappeared again, now loose on her own in the unforgiving city of London. Even worse, Lady Cecily has a secret that few know. She has dual personalities-one, which
is left-handed, is independent and competent; the other, which is right-handed is meek and mild. Now Enola must find Lady Cecily again--before one of her personalities gets her
into more trouble than she can handle and before Sherlock can find her and return her to her father. Once again, for Enola, the game is afoot.

The book was a quick read and relies on the reader being familiar with the second book in the series. Like the Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas, this volume is more concerned with gender, women's suffrage, and late Victorian culture, than it is with mystery solving.

Yet another fun and simply cozy mystery following Enola Holmes, Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister.

I never had the joys of being able to read the originals Enola books growing up, but I’ve read Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche last year and now I was able to enjoy a early copy of the Elegant Escaped and they’re just so cute and cozy, I can’t help but to smile while reading them!

The narration is spunky and well written. There’s plenty of description to help you perfectly picture the story and time period but isn’t overly flowery in language so it makes for a quick and easy read with being just about 230 pages.

The Elegant Escapade brings back a character from the original series where Enola must help free her friends from a overly controlling father but also must find her because she’s now missing haha.

Enola Holmes is everything a woman should have been in that time period, although she does find herself in quiet a bit of trouble lol. She’s smart, witty and above all, caring of her friends. She will stop at nothing to help and will always do it in a very entertaining way lol.

If you’re looking for a cozy fun mystery or a fan of the Enola film on Netflix, I definitely think you should pick up this one!

Super cute! The writing was well done along with the characters and the overall story. I loved the details of London and the fashion. It added to the story and didn’t drag it down. I loved Enola and her characters was so much fun. I’m always happy to read about Sherlock, so he was also a treat! A great book overall with no big complaints or concerns.
