Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads . After being told she lacks passion in the bedroom and dumped by her boyfriend, computer geek Abbi decides it's time for a change. With help from her friend and coworker, she transforms herself into a vixen in training and decides she's going to build an app to help women like herself. When she runs into the guy she had a crush on and used to tutor in high school, former basketball star (and current GORGEOUS trainer) Joe, he makes her an offer she can't refuse. Not even the geekiest girl on the planet would choose learning about seduction and sex from a book when she can learn from a man as hot as he is. Of course, we all know how these arrangements tend to work out in the end – someone gets feelings for the other, someone gets hurt and then the other person comes to their senses and admits their feelings. Predictable or not, I don't care. This plot line still makes for a fun read. I liked Abbi quite a bit. She was a smart and interesting character, even if she was a little insecure at the beginning. She became far more confident as the book went on. Joe was a little hit or miss for me. There's no denying he was smoking hot and charismatic. But, he rubbed me the wrong way at times, too. I can deal with the conceited manwhore character type for awhile, but I need a little more character development than what I got from him. I guess I never fully bought into his transformation. But, I enjoyed him and Abbi together. I liked the second chance aspect of the story. This is one of the steamier Brazen titles I've read. Hello, toys! Abbi and Joe had a ton of chemistry and their sexy scenes were seriously hot. The only thing that didn't really work for me was some of the dirty talk. Some of the phrases were odd and actually made me cringe a bit. Strange as some of it was, however, it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the scenes. Taming the Tutor was my first Natalie Anderson book. It won't, however, be my last. Save for a couple questionable dirty talk phrase choices and a few too many sports metaphors, I enjoyed her writing style. I'll be checking our her backlist and coming titles for more sexy reads. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
