This was a reread for me. I remember reading this for the first time in sixth grade as required reading for an English class. Up until that point, it was my favorite book. I also loved the movie and still enjoy watching it occasionally. I sometimes wonder though why this book is classified as juvenile or young adult. Granted, it's not very long, and the main character is ten years old, but the writing is very mature - not as in mature content, but as in, adults will appreciate the beautiful writing more than children will - and there's a lesson we can all learn from it. Will definitely reread again and again.
