Natalie Haynes - Stone Blind . ⭐️⭐️⭐️ . My first book in 2024 is this one I got as a Christmas present from my husband knowing how much I became interested in Greek mythology stories after I read Madelline Miller’s works. . However I must state that this book is pale in comparison towards those. The stories were jumping between chapters, and with different points of views, confusing the reader and irritating me for sometimes not knowing what was the red line behind until far later on. . Medusa’s story, however, is interesting and Haynes described her as a more fragile version than the usual Gorgon monster she was usually referred to. It gives dimensions to her character about who she “really” was in the mythology. . The same goes to her murderer Perseus (and I’m hoping that this is no spoiler since everyone knows about it) being the spoilt teenage brat that he was . It’s not a bad book to start 2024 with . #nataliehaynes #stoneblind #currentlyreading #2024readingchallenge #2024reads #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks
