don’t be surprised if at the end of the year, he’s one of my fav fictional men cuz, WHOO HEE-

i love historical fiction so much, it aches everytime i finish a book with the genre. what happened in Germany back in those days were horrible and this book represented it very boldy, which is not a easy task to do.

J’nell, you will never cease to impress me and you a forever auto buy author for me. ILY. also, if someone with actual talent for drawing can make character art for these two, cuz YALL have NO IDEA HOW SWOONY AND BEAUTIFUL THEY WER-

ok, deep breaths… im gonna go cry now, bye. 

i do have to say tho i wanted barrett’s past to be more shocking, like i thought he freakin killed his father or smth but nop, just turns out his dad was bad at taking care of his son and a drunk, so Barrett had no one but himself to defend. his mom did leave him and, in a way, I can see how it affected him as a person which is sad and dark but ig i expected smth more bloody idk 🥴😂


still doesn’t take away my love for this book so whateva.
