I HAD A ROLLERCOASTER RIDE One of those books that made me cry so hard because of frustration, anger, etc. You want drama? THIS IS DRAMA. Read it now!

4.5 I loved this book. It was so good and Sandro and Theresa’s relationship was so great. I loved that there wasn’t a big conflict but rather small little spouts of it throughout the story- it felt more real to me. They fought and had such chemistry; the scene of their first kiss was

The book itself was semi good but it's just not for me so I couldn't really enjoy it. I can't really fathom how anyone could enjoy it tho. It was so depressing😭 They absolutely shattered her into pieces and no matter what Sandro will do he could never repare all the damage he's done. The ending simply didn't talk about her other issues anymore so it seemed more like a happy ending.

I wanted to forgive him because he seemed genuinely sorry but everytime I tried to she showed how broken her soul really was and then I couldn't.

Sometimes being sorry just isn't enough.

2 YEARS he made her life hell and used her like a sex doll only to get a son😭

He did way too little way too late and way too poorly. If you say you call everyday then CALL. Not speaking for a month was just another cruel and selfish thing to do to her.💔

I wanted to cry for her through the whole damn book because she was miserable until 90% in😭 but also she was spineless af and a doormat all the way through so it was hard to feel sorry for her when she took him back in the end.

He in fact did NOT GROVEL. At all. Did he apologize? Yes. Twice.🙄 For hurting her for 2 years. It was nowhere near being enough.

Did he stopp being an asshole? Also yes. (But debatable tbh) But that's not groveling?

Groveling is doing something special to earn their forgiveness and in the best books they are miserable for a longer period of time.

He was miserable, again yes, but what did he genuinely do to earn her forgiveness except telling her she's pretty?? He just acted like any loving husband SHOULD act FROM THE BEGINNING.

And to be honest he didn't even become a very good husband. He still ignored her often, went out with his ex and let her be all by herself - she wanted it but come on.. FIGHT for her??

This is NOT groveling in my opnion.

Oh and it was 3rd pov and past tense...it didn't bother me that much (i only consciously realized it a couple pages in lmao) but it's not everyone's cup of tea🤷🏼‍♀️

Every review about this book talks about the groveling sandro did. How did yall find that enough? Theresa, the main character, says if she cant be loved then at least she should respected and she asks for her dear italian husband to show her some so he says “I have no respect for you, Theresa, not even as the potential mother of my child, because, quite frankly, you can’t even do that right.”to her 3 months after her miscarriage. Now sandro had said and done a lot of questionable emotionally destructive things to theresa in the 18 months that they had been married. And i expected there to be you know at least some tragic backstory on him that shows the reason why he's -unprovokingly- such a fucking dick to his wife, but there was none he's just an alpha male . I excpected groveling i wanted him shaking crying throwing up on his knees begging for his wife to forgive him but i didn't get that. Everyday i stray away from romance books about a couple going through a troubled marriage because everytime it's just the husband who's a fucking asshole for no reason, the wife enduring it then one day deciding to divorce or whatever and the husband goes ":o but you're my wife" GET FUCKED

3 Stars! Hi BookLovers, Oh I really don't know how to feel about this book. I was reading it cause I usually love this kind of book. The title has draw me to read it although I don't really know the author and I'm sad cause I don't really put my heart to it. I tried to read it to understand it better but I still can't make myself feel every piece or the chapter but I manage to finish it. Sorry though. Took me a long time to review this. Recommended! :) xoxo. K.

This book has the best grovelling ever and I love that the h isn't a pushover or a doormat. Slight spoiler but it happens early on (view spoiler)[ The h says she wants a divorce in the first chapter and doesn't fully forgive him till the end so the entire book is him trying to get her to forgive and love him again. (hide spoiler)]

“I don’t know why he’s like that.”she kept her eyes averted. “All of my life, I tried so hard to make him love me, but he never could. For a short while I thought I found what I was looking for, someone who could love me…”

I hate him😭😭😭

“Silly little Theresa,” he chided softly. “I may not have said it much, or at all for that matter, but you’re so beautiful I ache just looking at you sometimes.” She wasn’t beautiful— she knew she wasn’t— but just this once she wanted to believe him.

This man manages to belittle and call her silly in the same sentence while giving her one of the first real compliments ever. I'm so sorry for her💔

“I'm your husband...”
“No. You are not my husband,” she interrupted in a voice thickened with hatred and tears. “You have never been my husband. A husband loves, honours and cherishes! A husband is a lover and a champion... Look into the next room if you want to see what a real husband is, because you are no such thing!”
